Yurtyzstan ratified the new Charter of the Grand Unified Micronational earlier today.
Chairman of the Presidium J.J. Hakimoto signed the Charter just before 11 am UTC at the Foreign Residence. Later in the afternoon, a partial session of the Supreme People's Assembly unanimously ratified the Charter; only three delegates, two of them members of the ruling Prosperity for Yurtyzstan coalition, were absent.
After the ratification of the Charter, Chairman Hakimoto stated his hope that Yurtyzstan would advance from provisional to full membership at this weekend's Quorum. Yurtyzstan had held full membership since 20 January 2013, shortly after the official conclusion of the Reunification, but was demoted to provisional membership due to inactivity in the organisation over the past several months.
